How does the LHA program work?

Arizona’s LHA program allows parents, relatives, and others who meet the eligibility requirements to care for their loved ones and receive pay for carrying out those duties. Will training be required?

Your training will include a self-paced course to become a Licensed Health Aide. This course has been approved by the Arizona Board of Nursing and comes from one of the nation’s leaders in pediatric care, Aveanna Healthcare. Our courses are designed to work with your schedule and at your pace. You can even choose to take your course virtually or in person. In other words, it’s a flexible course that fits your schedule.

Once you have completed your course, there is a final skills validation and an orientation.
