In honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, we are excited to celebrate Yoselin and the tremendous progress she has made with Speech-Language Pathologist Amanda!
Since beginning speech therapy in October 2022, Yoselin's journey to find her own voice has been a true testament of courage and dedication. Initially, Yoselin was having difficulty communicating her wants and needs to others. To help, her family began using ASL to bridge the communication gap.
“When I started working with Yoselin, she was just beginning to use a few words and phrases.” Amanda shared. “Now, less than a year later, she is able to use a variety of two and four-word requests in both English and Spanish, as well as using ASL to communicate.
“Yoselin loves to pretend to cook using her at-home kitchen set during our sessions. Her overall vocabulary has increased drastically, and she is now able to communicate her needs. Her functional communication has grown so much during our time together!”
We’re so proud of all of the progress you’ve made Yoselin! We can’t wait to see how you continue to grow with SLP Amanda by your side.
